Common questions
How do I continue a game?
Your current saga saves after every move. Open the game and choose Continue your saga. Starting a new saga replaces that battle. Achievements and unlocked pieces remain.
How do I unlock Odin’s Hoard?
Defeat Odin without using undo as the king’s guard and as the raiders in Fetlar, Brandubh, and Tablut. That is six distinct victories. Achievements tracks each one; repeating a completed combination does not advance the challenge. Pausing and continuing a saved game are allowed.
Why can’t I hear the music?
Check music and sound-effect settings in the game, your iPad’s volume and silent mode, and any connected headphones or Bluetooth speakers. Audio pauses when you leave the app. After a headphone disconnection, leave and return to the app to resume audio.
Which rules does this game use?
Choose Fetlar-style Hnefatafl, Brandubh, or Tablut when starting a new saga. How to Play explains each version, including king capture, escape squares and automatic repetition rules. Historical reconstructions differ; the game links to its source rules.
Does progress sync to another iPad?
No in-game cloud sync is included. Saves, achievements and choices are stored on the device. Deleting the app removes its local data; your device backups may retain a copy. Please avoid deleting the app as a troubleshooting step if you want to keep your progress.
What if a move cannot be saved?
Keep the app open and free some storage on your iPad. Saving retries after the next move or when you return to the game’s main menu. If the message continues, contact support before deleting the app.
Does the game need an internet connection?
Gameplay, music, AI opponents, and unlocks work offline. Opening this support site, external rule references, or sending support email requires a connection.
