Data in the game
Hnefatafl — The King’s Table does not collect or transmit personal data to Skirnir Studios. It has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking, or in-app purchases. AI opponents run on your device. We do not sell or share player data for advertising.
Local saves and choices
The app stores your current battle, move and undo history, chosen rules and opponent, achievements, unlocked artwork, and settings on your iPad. These records are used to run and personalize the game. There is no in-game cloud synchronization. Your operating system may include app data in device backups according to your own settings.
Keeping or removing your data
Starting a new saga replaces the current battle while retaining achievements and settings. Deleting the app removes its local data. Device backups may retain earlier copies; manage those through Apple’s device and backup controls. Skirnir Studios cannot read or remotely delete the saves on your iPad.
If you contact support
If you email admin@skirnirstudios.com, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your request and resolve issues. Email is handled through Gmail and the email services involved in delivery. Send only information relevant to your request.
We keep support correspondence while needed to handle the request and related issues, or where retention is legally required. You can ask to access or delete correspondence by contacting the same address. We do not use support emails for advertising or mailing lists.
Apple and external links
Apple handles App Store purchases, distribution, and any diagnostics or backups you choose to share with Apple under its own policies. Links to rules, support, and privacy pages leave the game and may be subject to the destination service’s policies.
This website
The Skirnir Studios website is separate from our games. With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources, pages viewed, and interactions such as outbound link clicks. Analytics uses cookies and sends usage and device/browser information to Google. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google signals. You can decline analytics or change your choice using Analytics preferences in the footer; your preference is stored in this browser. Analytics does not load on this website until you allow it.
Learn how Google handles this information in Google’s partner-site privacy information. Our Fourthwall shop has its own cookie controls and privacy policy. Where permitted, the shared Analytics setup helps us understand visits between the studio site and shop. The website has no visitor accounts or contact forms; site images, audio previews, and fonts are served with the site.
The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites. The hosting provider receives connection information, such as your IP address and browser request information, to deliver and protect the pages. See OpenAI’s privacy policy.
The hosting platform also uses Cloudflare security services. These may run security checks and set cookies such as __cf_bm to protect against automated abuse. See Cloudflare’s cookie information. These protections are separate from the game. Email links open your chosen email app; sending a message is your choice.
Children
The game does not request a player’s name, age, email address, or other personal information. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. A parent or guardian can contact us about a child’s support correspondence.
